North Beach Fair 2026

It’s street fair season in San Francisco! Last weekend we headed up to the city to check out the North Beach Fair. It’s always a fun event with street vendors, local shops, entertainment, and of course, food! Love that!

We decided to park down on the Embarcadero because after the fair we wanted to check out the space exhibit at the Exploratorium. This was a good choice since the fair traffic was no-where to be found and the lot didn’t fill up. It was a short walk up to North Beach, which was downhill when we returned to the car.

We started our day off with a delicious lunch at Barbara Pinseria Cocktail Bar on Columbus Ave. They have a lovely outside eating area which we enjoyed, since the weather was perfect. The food is Southern Italian and really yummy! We will definitely go back.

After enjoying out lunch, we grabbed coffee at Caffe Greco, which is cash only btw, and wandered throughout the fair. One of the booths was from a local chocolatier, Z. Cioccolato, and they had delicious fudge! So of course, we indulged. The cookies and cream fudge was the best. We will definitely buy some again next time we are in the city. Love!

As we wandered around the fair we saw a lot of local artists, local shops, and more. This tee caught our eye, especially since my son was a huge Thomas fan when he was little. This tee was so cute and fun!

After the fair, we walked back downhill to the Embarcadero and headed over to the Exploratorium to check out both the space exhibit and the regular exhibits. We hadn’t been there is awhile, and the kids forgot most of what was inside, so it was a fun refresher.

Next time you are in the city, I highly recommend checking it out!

Thanks for stopping by, and stay tuned for more summer coverage.

XOXO

Well, that was a heat wave! What better place to hide from ninety-degree weather in March than the Beach Chalet in San Francisco! I had to go to the city for a meeting anyway, so enjoying a peaceful lunch at the Beach Chalet was a no brainer.

The temperatures rose to the low eighties in the city, but I was still comfortable in jeans and a knit top since we went out to Ocean Beach after our meeting. It was the perfect outfit for a warm spring day in the city. Love!

At the Beach Chalet, they gave us a fabulous table next to the window where we could enjoy the view of the ocean. It was peaceful and relaxing. Something I need right now!

I enjoyed the Mahi Mahi, which might be my new favorite menu item. It was delicious! I also enjoyed their calamari, which we ate as an appetizer, of course!

If you are local to the Bay Area, or plan to visit, be sure to stop into Beach Chalet for a meal. It is a rare, beachside restaurant in the city packed with history, ambiance, and delicious food. One of my favorite places to eat!

Winter day in the city

It has been beautiful in the city lately! After the series of storms which hit the Bay Area, the city was clear skies and sunshine. Love!

We decided to enjoy the last of the holiday decorations around Union Square before they were taken down. After shopping at the Nintendo store, we walked around Macy’s to see the beautiful decorations throughout the store. Then we headed over to my husband’s favorite restaurant in the city, John’s Grill.

I enjoyed their lobster ravioli while my husband enjoyed a burger. My kids ate a combination of pasta and burgers. Everything was delicious as usual. Highly recommend.

After lunch, we went back up to Union Square to walk around and enjoy the tree before it gets taken down in the new year. Then, we went back to the car and headed over to the Cliff House for views and exercise. It was the perfect day!

If you are visiting the area, or you are local, I highly recommend enjoying a meal at John’s Grill and also enjoying the scenic paths around Sutro Bath and the Cliff House. You will enjoy it!

Thanks for stopping by!
