Black satchels for fall 2012

The black satchel is one of the most classic handbag styles in existence. This iconic handbag silhouette is in almost every Fashionista’s closet, and if it is not, it very well should be!
With fall’s vintage inspired looks and darker color palette, the black satchel has become a favorite handbag choice. The black satchel is being paired with old-world styles, vintage inspired frocks and as a neutral accessory for color blocked ensembles and fall’s vivid prints.

The black satchel is so iconic, it is a handbag worth investing in; even if you think you may not wear it a lot during this upcoming fall season. Even if a black satchel is only pulled out from your closet a handful of times during a season, it will continue to be a classic and easy handbag to wear season after season; without ever looking dated or off-trend. Love that!

Black satchels for fall are being found in both trendy styles and classic, clean silhouettes. The black satchel can be found in smooth, timeless fabrications such as leather, faux-leather, vegan fabrications, exotic skins and nylon. The smooth and clean satchel styles for fall 2012 are generally found in structured handbag silhouettes and are perfect for dressy occasions, a ladies luncheon and the office.

One of the big handbag trends for the fall 2012 season is texture. So it is only natural that the black satchel has found its’ place in the multi-dimensional handbag world. Black satchels are being found for fall in mixed fabrications which offer a 3D effect as well as texture and interest; making the timeless handbag style front and center instead of fading into the background as a necessary accessory to carry.

With the rocker-chic look still in full force as we head into fall 2012, black satchels are also being encrusted with studs. These edgy versions of an iconic classic allow daring Fashionista’s to rock the classic and sleek black satchel trend without giving up their edgy personal style. Fabulous!

You can’t go wrong with a black satchel for fall. This is one trend which may already be in your closet from a past season, and if not, now is the time to invest in the perfect black satchel; not only for fall, but for a lifetime. Happy investment handbag bag shopping, and stay fabulous

Purple for fall 2012

Bergdorf Goodman recently declared on their blog that rich jewel tones are al the rage for fall 2012. While Pantone released their predictions for fall 2012 earlier this year, the fall color palette has evolved, and rich jewel tones have joined the color party for the fall 2012 season with rich, purple as one of the most important colors of the season.

Purple for the fall 2012 season is being shown in many hues. While Amethyst is one of the more popular shades of purple this fall season, every shade of purple imaginable has been spotted on stores shelves.
Designers have opted for light through dark hues, blue toned purple and reddish purple. Every shade of purple is hot for fall; so if you are shopping your closet for the fall season, you can’t go wrong with a purple garment or accessory from a past season.
Purple is a versatile hue this fall 2012 season. This brilliant and quite royal hue is being shown in every variety of ensemble from casual dress through to gala attire. Purple is being shown on every accessory and garment imaginable as well as every fall fabrication from leather to glitter pumps to handwoven sweaters.
For fall 2012, the tonal look is not in the forefront of fashion, so mixing purple with other colors such as rich, jade green, shades of medium and dark blue as well as light neutrals and black is the perfect way to rock the purple trend this season. Look for purple accents to brighten up your wardrobe or dazzle with a jewel-tone purple dress. Either way, you will look amazing  Happy shopping and stay fabulous

Brooches for fall 2012: the classic accessory returns

Brooches are an iconic accessory which was a huge trend in the early 1960’s. The sparkling accessory has made its’ way in and out of fashion over the past few decades with it’s’ most recent resurgence in 2004. For fall 2012, brooches are hot, and unlike previous comebacks, the brooch is edgy.

Although brooches were worn in the 1980’s at the top of a buttoned up blouse, the jeweled accessory is normally found pinned off center on a sweater or blazer. For fall 2012, brooches are still being found off-center, but they are being worn on shirts, jackets, dresses, sweaters and coats. Brooches for fall 2012 are being shown in edgy style and a far cry from the classic and symmetrical brooches of yesteryear. In the past, brooches have, in general, been symmetrical; with a few exceptions such as a kitschy shape, a “critter” or Coco Chanel’s classic double C. Brooches for fall 2012 are being shown in cutting edge styles such as lips with a grill, skulls, things found in nature and mythical creatures. Of course, classic “critter” brooches such as leopards, butterflies and ladybugs are also perfect for the fall season.

A brooch is a great way to spice up a solid colored top, jacket or dress. The brooch also makes a great alternative to a necklace for the fall season. Brooches are also a way to add a fall 2012 update to a top, jacket or dress from a past season. Love that!

We found a few fabulous brooches around the web and assembled them into the set below. Hope you love it! Happy shopping and stay fabulous
