It’s summer dress season, and this one is perfect for all the upcoming graduations and summer events. Love!
In addition, sandals season is upon us. This pair offers soft and buttery leather. They are super comfy with dresses, maxi skirts, shorts and summer pants. Can’t wait to rock them all season long!

Vegas at night has a certain je ne sais quoi. The lights, the buzz, and the over the top architecture are all part of the mystique and fun.
We stayed in a hotel off the strip so we could be close to our daughter’s cheer competition, which was the reason we were in Las Vegas. So, in order to get to the strip and avoid the chaotic traffic, we took the tram. This required quite a bit of walking on my part, so my heels were left in the hotel and I wore my sneakers for the evening. It was out of my comfort zone for style, but my feet were very happy. Soooooo, there’s that. Anyhoo. . .
Vegas is a rooftop type of town, so we had dinner at Cheri’s Rooftop inside the Paris hotel. I loved the view and the service was really good, the food was meh. We still had fun though!
After dinner, we went across the street to watch the water show. I haven’t watched it in over twenty years. It was a nostalgic moment for me remembering all the trips I used to take to Vegas with my friends before I got married. haha
We watched the show a couple times and then called it night since we had an early flight home the next morning. It was definitely a whirlwind, thirty-six hours in Vegas!
I love this dress and plan to wear it often in the upcoming months, the only drawback is that it runs large and I needed at least one size down. That’s ok, I will still wear it. If you order it, and are between sizes, pick the smaller size.

Les Miz was here! Broadway San Jose hosted Les Misérables for one week and it was so nice to see it again after, gasp, thirty years! The last time I saw it was when it was at the Curran in San Francisco in the early 1990s. Not that I’m dating myself, but I digress. . .
Anyhoo. . .I was fortunate enough to be able to attend a portion of the load-in when the crew was building the set. It was fun to see the set go up and come alive! You can see a bit of the process in the photo above.
It’s amazing how much work goes into traveling Broadway shows. They have dozens of semi-trucks filled with the set, costumes and more. The crew travels with over a hundred people from place to place for one or two weeks at a time. They build the set in a day and take it down in a day, then they are off and away!
It’s amazing how mobile and efficient they are! We are so fortunate to have Broadway San Jose and their incredible show line-up right here in the south bay. In case you missed Les Miz, be sure to check out the upcoming shows and next season’s line up. Get the shows on your calendar so you don’t miss out!
