Fall outfit and a beachy dinner

wearing: gold hoop earrings / chocolate brown sweater / suede handbag (same color in large, same size alt color) / scarf (vintage, also love this one) / satin skirt / nail polish / kitten heels c/o Lonza /

Ah, fog in San Francisco. I love it when the fog rolls in; especially when I want to manifest fall weather! Over the weekend, we went up to the city for dinner at Seal Rock Inn. This was fabulous because it was blazing hot in the south bay, so heading up into the fog was a blessing. Plus, it was a chance to rock a fall outfit. Love that!

Seal Rock Inn is a cute little hotel by the beach in San Francisco. It has a delicious restaurant on the corner which features views of the ocean. I can’t believe I didn’t take a photo for you! Well, this means you will have to visit the restaurant yourself to see the beautiful views of the ocean.

I enjoyed a glass of Riesling, which was served in a champagne flute. For my entree, I ordered the Chicken Coq au Vin, which was amazing. Of course, for dessert I had to have Creme Brulee; it’s my favorite.

Our meals were really good, so we definitely plan to go back. I have heard Seal Rock Inn has an amazing brunch menu, so I think we will check that out next time and combine it with a visit to Land’s End. So, I highly recommend enjoying a meal at Seal Rock Inn!

Summer day in San Jose

wearing: gold hoops / lipstick / short sleeve sweater / summer nail polish / jeans / black handbag / sneakers /

There is always something going on during the summer! In July, the annual Italian Festa took place at History Park San Jose, located inside Kelley Park.

We arrived a bit early so we could snag a parking spot in the closest parking lot, which meant we arrived before the festa began. So, we took that opportunity to take a relaxing walk through the Japanese Friendship Garden. The garden has been refreshed since we last visited, so it was nice to see the fountain on, the koi fish swimming, the gardens manicured and a turtle enjoying life in San Jose.

After walking through the gardens, we walked over to the festa. It was fun to see a street fair inside the park. This made the event feel safe and the booths easier to visit. Love the venue!

There were flag throwers from Italy, booths with history lessons, delicious food choices, and a showcase of all the Italian Immigrants who contributed to the building of San Jose and the greater Bay Area. There were parts which included my ancestors, so it was extra special. Love!

I am looking forward to attending the fest again next summer when it returns to History Park San Jose. If you are local, I recommend attending too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Is it fall yet? This weather is just too hot! Ugh, anyway, I digress. . .

Since there are fall items starting to appear on store shelves, I am putting together some fall outfits in the hopes of making the season arrive sooner. Please tell me this works! haha

These boots are perfect for the upcoming fall season and they are so comfortable! I can tell they will be easy to wear for walking. Love that!

For a put together, casual fall outfit, this tweed cardigan sweater is ideal. It is easy to wear over a tee and pair with jeans on casual days, or black trousers for a business casual look. It’s a classic piece which is both comfortable and versatile. Love!
