Barrel jeans at the beach

wearing: pearl earrings / stripe knit top / spring nail polish / barrel jeans / city bag / black loafers /

Well, that was a heat wave! What better place to hide from ninety-degree weather in March than the Beach Chalet in San Francisco! I had to go to the city for a meeting anyway, so enjoying a peaceful lunch at the Beach Chalet was a no brainer.

The temperatures rose to the low eighties in the city, but I was still comfortable in jeans and a knit top since we went out to Ocean Beach after our meeting. It was the perfect outfit for a warm spring day in the city. Love!

At the Beach Chalet, they gave us a fabulous table next to the window where we could enjoy the view of the ocean. It was peaceful and relaxing. Something I need right now!

I enjoyed the Mahi Mahi, which might be my new favorite menu item. It was delicious! I also enjoyed their calamari, which we ate as an appetizer, of course!

If you are local to the Bay Area, or plan to visit, be sure to stop into Beach Chalet for a meal. It is a rare, beachside restaurant in the city packed with history, ambiance, and delicious food. One of my favorite places to eat!

What I wore with my barrel jeans:

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for spring coverage!

National Air and Space Museum

The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington DC is jam-packed with everything you could possibly imagine when it comes to air and space. We spent four hours exploring the exhibits and learning new tidbits about both and air travel and space exploration. It was so amazing!

If you haven’t been to the Air and Space museum in Washington DC, I highly recommend adding it to your itinerary next time you visit the capitol. They have in-depth exhibits about the history of air travel including original artifacts from the Wright Brothers.

It was also amazing to see female pioneers in air travel and they impacted the industry. It’s always fun to see powerful women, especially from before women had widespread rights. They were true trail blazers!

After visiting the museum, we walked over to Old Ebbitt Grill for dinner. It is a historical restaurant in the heart of Washington DC. We even saw a secret service man checking the area! That was fun! I wonder who was there?

I enjoyed the crab cake and fries while my daughter enjoyed pasta bolognese. Both dishes were really yummy; I definitely want to go back!

What I wore to visit the Air and Space Museum:

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes for visiting the museum and also walking around. This vacation requires a lot of walking!

Thanks for stopping by!

Spy Museum

wearing: knit top / cross body bag / gold earrings / gold bracelet / pink nail polish / jeans / sneakers /

Bond, James Bond. Love it! I mean, who doesn’t love a James Bond movie or moment? I know I do! When we visited the Spy Museum in Washington DC, this fabulous car from James Bond was right there in the lobby! Amazing!

Of course, the Spy Museum is more about real spies than James Bond, but it was fun seeing a glimpse of references to our favorite fictitious spy.

The Spy Museum is a must-see when visiting Washington DC. There are exhibits dating back hundreds of years, and it is amazing to see how spying has been done throughout history. In fact, it helped us build America. Love!

The museum consists of multiple floors jam-packed with spy gadgets and history lessons. It is really fun to see this part of world history. In addition to the regular exhibits, there is also one floor with a special exhibit. I recommend adding it on when visiting the Spy Museum.

We spent around three hours at the Spy Museum, so plan to wear comfortable shoes and clothing so you can fully enjoy the experience. You can even go on a spy mission while visiting! Fun!

You can learn more about the Spy Museum at SpyMuseum.org.
