When the weather behaves, it is nice to be able to wear a cozy sweater coat instead of a bulky coat. I love this cozy sweater coat since it is really soft and comfortable. It makes it so easy to wear while running errands, shopping, or grabbing lunch with the girls. I definitely plan to live in this sweater coat during the winter season! As it gets colder, this sweater coat will look fabulous with a scarf and thicker shirt underneath. Love!

If you have been following along, you are aware that these jeans are under $100 and available in short, regular, and tall lengths. I am wearing the short length. I love being able to find flare jeans in my length. It is really freeing to not have to shorten them!

I wore this cozy outfit the other day while Christmas shopping with my Mom. We enjoyed a warm lunch at Maggiano’s and then strolled around Santana Row getting ideas for Christmas gifts.

I love Maggiano’s classic pasta with meat sauce. It is an oldie but a goodie! Since I had a classic pasta dish, I was able to bring home another pasta dish, which I gave to my husband so he could enjoy baked ziti during lunch at work. Love!

What is your favorite comfort food when the weather starts to cool off during the holiday season? Mine is definitely pasta and soup!

Tweed blazer and wide leg jeans

This blazer is so comfy! If you love how the blazer over jeans trend looks, but shy away from it because a blazer sounds constricting, never fear, this tweed blazer is here!

Tweed is a comfortable fabric by nature, and on this blazer, it moves with you. I love how this tweed blazer feels soft and comfortable as I move throughout the day. I am wearing a medium, which I purchased last year before I was done losing weight. I should probably be wearing a small as it is slightly large on me; just in case you are looking at sizes.

I paired this tweed blazer with my bright pink top and wide leg jeans. These jeans are also very comfortable, and I love that they are short length. I didn’t have to shorten them! Love that!

This outfit was perfect for wandering around downtown Saratoga and enjoying the scarecrows which line the sidewalks.

These scarecrows were made by local groups and businesses from Saratoga including the Girl Scouts. Every scarecrow is different, and they seem to get more creative every year! I love this disco scarecrow wearing sequins, she looks ready for the holiday season! If you are local, be sure to check them out before they are replaced by holiday decor. They are so cute and creative!

We enjoyed lunch at Mint Leaf in Saratoga which is a delicious Thai restaurant. I highly recommend everything on the menu! It is soooo good. My favorite items are the pineapple fried rice, roti, egg rolls, and scallops. Yum!

Flare jeans and a tie blouse

Flare jeans are back! This is a trend I have always loved but have always struggled to wear. When I have purchased flare jeans in the past, I have had no choice but to bring them into a seamstress to be shortened. If you are short like me, or petite, then you know the struggle! Flare jeans are not easy to shorten. You lose a lot of the actual flare when the hems are cut, resulting in a less dramatic flare and loss of the intended silhouette. So, when I found these flare jeans in short length, I was thrilled!

The length on these flare jeans is perfect, resulting in the exact silhouette I was going for. This 1970s vibe is everything! I paired my flare jeans with a tie front blouse, which was a huge trend in office attire for women in the late 1970s, and again in the 1980s. Since then, the trend has come in and out of fashion, in varying incantations. I love wearing a tie front blouse with flare jeans, or a midi-skirt for the full, original look. Isn’t the print on this tie front blouse fun! Love!

I wore this outfit the other day for lunch at The Yard House and strolling through Santana Row. The blouse did not wrinkle, and the jeans felt really comfortable. Plus, I was able to walk without pain! I think my foot is getting close to be fully healed. Love that!

If you happen to be tall, and struggle with finding flare jeans which are long enough, you’re in luck! These jeans are also available in tall lengths! I love that they are priced under $100 too, it makes them a guilt-free purchase. Love!
