NARS Amarapura nail polish is a mirror silver, metallic nail polish hue which is perfect for the fall 2016 season! Love! While shades of red nail polish dominate the beauty scene for autumn, metallic hues are the secondary trend which is heating up store shelves in every department; including nail polish!

One of my favorite types of nail polish is metallic. I love shining, metallic nail polish hues because they are neutral yet edgy. Amarapura by NARS is a fabulous, cutting edge silver which acts like a neutral, yet shines bright with an edgy, mirror finish. Love that!

The first week I tested out NARS Amarapura nail polish I used one base coat and two coats of color. The nail polish began chipping after four days. The second time I tested it out, I added a top coat. The top coat allowed the nail polish to last chip free for a week. Perfection!

NARS Amarapura nail polish is my current favorite polish to wear now, and into the fall season. It is really a fun color! It also looks amazing with fall’s mixed metals trend in jewelry. You can pair it with multiple metal colors in rings and/or bracelets for a very of-the-moment look. I really love wearing this mixed metal ring with NARS Amarapura nail polish. It looks amazing!

Tom Ford Black Sugar nail polish review

tom ford black sugar nail polish review fall 2016

Fall 2016 is all about red or metallic nail polish. Since I am not a huge fan of red nail polish, I am seeking alternatives for the fall season. I love all of the metallic hues being shown for the autumn season, but a girl needs alternatives! When I spotted Black Sugar by Tom Ford, I thought this would be a fabulous alternative to metallic nails!

Tom Ford Black Sugar nail polish is a lot less black than I thought it would be. The name suggests a spicy version of black nail polish, on the contrary! Black Sugar by Tom Ford is a putty-purple hue which has nothing to do with black, and more to do with the berry family!

Berry hues are huge this fall season; groundbreaking, like florals in spring, I know. 😉 Since all shades of burgundy and purple are the rage, nail polish needs to blend, rather than compete, with this color palette. Metallic hues are the ideal neutral for these shades, but metallic polishes are not for everyone, and sometimes we all want a more traditional color on our fingertips.

Tom Ford Black Sugar nail polish is a cross between classic dark purple and dark putty. It is an edgy, neutral form of a muted, dark purple hue. This color works perfectly with this fall’s berry hues; making it a fabulous neutral color for the autumn season and a great alternative to red or metallic nail polish. Love that!

I tested Tom Ford Black Sugar nail polish out with one base coat, two coats of color, and one top coat. The nail polish was long lasting, and stayed chip free for one week. Fabulous!

The fall 2016 season is all about red nail polish, and metallics. I am a little bit bored of red nail polish, so I am drawn towards metallics for the autumn season. I am already a fan of metallic polishes, so it is exciting to see what designers are coming up with for fall 2016!

I love Dior Steel Grey for fall 2016. It is a medium, metallic grey which resembles dark pewter. I find it edgy yet glamorous; while remaining neutral. Love!

This a great neutral, and go-to color for the fall season. It is also perfect if you seek an alternative to red nails. You can find Dior Steel Grey nail polish for fall 2016 online here.
