I finally got to dress up and go somewhere! Yay! Now that the pandemic is behind us, and the local mask mandate has eased, we have been able to enjoy what life was once like. This means formal affairs have returned!

Since I lost roughly forty pounds last year, none of my formal go-to dresses fit anymore. So, I had a good excuse to invest in one fabulous little black dress! Love that!

This little black dress was perfect for the event I went to, which was to honor my senior daughter and the work she has done in the community over the course of her high school career. Parents wore black, while daughters wore white, in order to ensure our daughters could shine. This dress code worked out perfectly since I firmly believe every woman should own at least one fabulous little black dress. You never know when you need a go-to dress last minute which can be worn for a cocktail event, or something more formal. Of course, it cannot work for black tie when dresses should be long, but it does work for most formal or dressy affairs. Love!

The event was held at the Corinthian Grand Ballroom in downtown San Jose. I was thrilled to find out how delicious the food at the venue was that evening! I enjoyed this halibut dish, which was so yummy, I cleaned my plate; even though, according to etiquette, you are supposed to leave a couple bites on the plate. I couldn’t help myself; this was delicious! Don’t worry, I didn’t scrape, and I did leave some asparagus, I’m not big on asparagus. haha

I am looking forward to future events where I can wear this little black dress again. It looks great with a classic Chanel bag or spiced up with a brightly colored bag and/or shoes. As you know, the little black dress gives you endless possibilities!

Everyone loves yellow! There is something happy and joyful about yellow. It evokes feelings of hope, happiness, and sunshine. Perhaps that is why I have been drawn to yellow this year, and you have too!

This yellow tee, which happens to be on sale, along with this fabulous spring nail polish, have been selling like crazy! The nail polish is so much fun and adds some spice to our everyday looks. Of course, who doesn’t love a good tee for everyday wear? This one is comfy and I love the neckline! It also comes in additional colors, since it is on sale, I might snap up another one. Love!

There are three vivid pastel hues in the Reve de Chanel nail polish collection for late spring. Chanel Onirique is a sweet and pale pastel pink, perfect for the office or to wear as an understated neutral. If you prefer a more avant-garde look on your nails, Chanel Utopie is a soft orange cream hue which offers a vivid orange pastel; perfect to pair with a bright orange power suit this spring season! For those of us who like fun colors on our nails, the Reve de Chanel nail polish collection offers Chanel Evanescence nail polish which is a vivid lilac. It’s feminine, fun, and works well with all of the spring color palates we are seeing from designers. Love!

The three nail polish colors from the Reve de Chanel beauty collection are cream polishes. While they offer good color saturation with two coats, you might opt for three coats for a deeper hue which matches the bottle. Chanel Onirique nail polish is the perfect pale pink for daily wear. If you work in a professional environment, or you prefer timeless hues on your nails, this is your late spring nail polish. Although I show it with two coats of color, I would suggest using three coats for more color saturation. This color is so pale, you can see the tops of my nails through it with only two coats. Three coats would offer better coverage.

This is my favorite color from the Reve de Chanel nail polish collection! Isn’t it beautiful??? Chanel Evanescence is a vivid lilac color which mixes classic spring with a slightly edgy vibe. I love this color, plus, it looks fabulous with my bright blue power suit. Love that!

The Reve de Chanel beauty collection also offers a few new Rouge Coco lipstick hues as well as an eye quad and finishing powder. I needed a new eye quad for the new year, so I snapped up Imaginaire for the spring season. It offers four neutral hues which are easy to wear day or night. I also love this new lipstick hue, Halo. It’s a fun, sheer lilac which plays well with my bright blue power suit. I am all about this blue blazer right now!
